The West

Sorry it's been a while. I was assigned to a two week trip through Washington, Oregon, and Montana. A little of Idaho was thrown in too, just for fun. It's definitely pretty out here. But I AM missing a few things about the east coast. Here are a few:

1. Drivers who drive over the speed limit in the fast lane.
2. Drivers who don't wait until there are no cars coming before they turn right onto a road.
3. Food I cooked myself.
4. Cynical people.

Everyone out west is so nice. Where are the angry people?

I'll be back on my coast next week. I'm sure I'll have more to say.

If any of you will be in Seattle in the near future, PLEASE go to Restaurant Zoe for dinner. It's the best meal I've had in years.

Until next week,

me

Burgers I've Eaten - Part 5

Labor Day weekend, I visited the fine establishment that is Southside 815 in Alexandria, Virginia. I only ate 1/2 a burger that day, but it was juicy and filled with great grill flavor. The bun did not overwhelm the burger, and it was accompanied by a great pint of Guiness.

While not a burger, the peach pound cake served with vanilla ice cream was sublime.

You should go there and try their food. Just don't forget to give very large tips to the bartender.
