Bring Back Marc Steiner!

A few weeks ago, WYPR fired Marc Steiner, one of the great voices of and for Baltimore. Last night, people registered their complaints with the station at the Baltimore Museum of Art's auditorium.

I am a long time listener of the Marc Steiner show. Did he talk about Baltimore alot? Sure he did. But, he didn't exclusively talk about the city, and who else out there is talking about the Baltimore's problems?

I loved his pop culture shows, as he was a huge fan of the Wire. I'm sure, were he still on the air, he would've devoted a show to the shows final episodes, and I'm sorry I won't get to listen to it.

The people of Baltimore miss Marc Steiner, and I don't think they're going to let WYPR forget it. The station has already cancelled their winter pledge drive, since citizens are promising not to donate funds until the Marc Steiner show is back on the air.

The station's call letters stand for "your public radio". It's time the board of directors realized who really runs the station, and puts The Marc Steiner Show back on the air.

I LOOOOOOVED Marc Steiner. I heard NPR's coverage of the meeting with the president of the station... he's an ass.

Marc should find another way to voice his topics. He was why A LOT of support was going into YPR.
